Costa Concordia shipwreck

last Friday, January 13th the cruise ship Costa Concordia capsized of the coast of the island of Giglio. The captain of the cruise ship went to close to the island and ran into rocks. The ship didnt actually capsize until early Saturday morning. the captain is being charged with manslaughter, abandoning ship before all others and causing a shipwreck. he said that he tripped and fell into a lifeboat while he was helping other passengers. there were 3,206 passengers on the ship and 1000 crew workers. there are 11 dead so far and still many missing. the search has been stopped because the ships position changed but they hope to resume the search soon.
